Job summary

E & M MANUFACTURING INC is seeking a qualified Manufacturing Planner to coordinate processes and resources, maintain the production schedule, and ensure on-time customer order fulfillment.

The role emphasizes vendor management, procurement, and use of ERP systems and JobBOSS; candidate should have leadership experience and strong communication, aiming to drive cost-saving initiatives.

This is a hands-on role with room to improve processes and supplier partnerships.

Qualifications

• 3+ years proven team leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Associated or B.A in Manufacturing or other related technical field strongly preferred.
• Strong understanding of Microsoft Office, ERP systems.
• Thorough understanding of GMP, quality standards, and ISO.
• Proven ability to achieve results, set expectations, and lead/coach others.
• Excellent listening, verbal and written communication skills.
• Exceptional problem solving and decision-making skills and the ability to think independently.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-focused environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the production schedule to ensure customer orders are fulfilled on time.
• Manage the production flow and adjust schedules in case of delay.
• Ensure that project/department milestones/goals are met.
• Solicit material project pricing.
• Create and issue purchase orders (POs) for projects and overhead.
• Input information and update records in JobBOSS.
• Confirm orders with suppliers and communicate delivery schedules with management.
• Schedule and coordinate shipping and deliveries.
• Source, vet, develop, and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers, ensuring positive and productive partnerships.
• Support cost-saving initiatives by negotiating discounts and identifying savings opportunities.
• Support the operations team in forecasting project deliverables by providing timely information, purchase schedules, and tracking updates.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
