Job summary

LeoForce in Springfield, NJ is seeking a Production Planner for a mid-level role focused on meeting customer commitments and timely delivery.

The role requires strong ERP data management and collaboration with operations, quality, and engineering to drive improvements and cost efficiencies. Compensation is up to $90,000 per year with strong benefits.

Qualifications

• Mid Level experience in manufacturing or production planning.
• Ability to manage data in ERP systems and coordinate cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Monthly, quarterly, yearly execution of customer commitments.
• 100% OTIF to all customer commitments.
• Coordinate with operations to ensure parts move through the facility as planned.
• Communicate execution risks and opportunities to Leadership.
• Develop risk mitigation plans at the start of execution (planning orders, yield factors, manufacturing engagement).
• Document lessons learned and opportunities for improvement.
• Coordinate resources (quality, manufacturing engineering, design engineering) to provide information for action.
• Drive rapid resolution of ECOs, EOs and MRBs for development parts.
• Plan outsourcing vs insourcing to reduce lead time and risk.
• Work with engineering and operations to drive cost improvement projects to protect gross margins.
• Produce hardware execution schedules for management/customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Monthly, quarterly, yearly execution of customer commitments
• 100% OTIF to all customer commitments
• Partnering with the operations team and to ensure parts are moving through facility in accordance with or ahead of schedule.
• Communicating execution risks and opportunities to Leadership
• Ensuring that appropriate risk mitigation plans are in place at the start of execution (ie: planning orders, yield factors, enlisting manufacturing engineering involvement, etc).
• Document lessons learned and opportunities for manufacturing improvements for any subsequent orders.
• Coordination of all necessary resources (quality, manufacturing engineering, design engineering, to ensure that all the necessary players have the information to move forward seamlessly
• Drive rapid resolution of ECO’s, EO’s and MRB for development parts.
• Proactive planning to identify when we should be outsourcing vs. insourcing parts in order to reduce overall lead time and risk to execution.
• Work with engineering and operations to drive cost improvement projects to ensure gross margin targets are achieved for hardware deliverables.
• Produce hardware execution schedules to provide to management and/or customers as required.
• Maintaining accurate data in ERP system to include commit dates, open/active orders, quantities, etc.
