Job summary

Bal Seal Engineering is seeking a Planner II to support production control and inventory maintenance at our Foothill Ranch/Lake Forest site. The role requires 4+ years in production coordination and strong ERP proficiency to manage monthly requirements and work orders.

Responsibilities include coordinating shipments, releases, scheduling across departments, and maintaining accurate production data. APICS/Lean knowledge is preferred; compensation is $27.00–$37.00 hourly with full benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum four years’ experience coordinating production or material management in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficient with ERP systems, especially Oracle and E1.
• Ability to determine production requirements from MRP data.
• Strong communication with Customer Service and other departments.

Responsibilities

• Uses MRP to determine monthly production requirements and coordinates as needed.
• Plans and releases work orders to support MRP messages and production.
• Schedules and expedites work flow between departments to ensure smooth production.
• Participates in morning meetings to discuss expedites and upcoming shipments.
• Maintains orders, inventory, and coordinates with Customer Service on due dates.
• Matches workload to capacity and resolves major work order discrepancies.
• Prepares production reports and manages work order releases.
• Analyzes production specs and plant capacity to plan processes.
• Communicates progress and documents changes with supervisors.
• Monitors and tracks shipments, coordinates carrier pickups.
