Job summary

Flex is seeking a Planner Scheduler in Milpitas, CA to manage work orders, build plans, and coordinate material and production scheduling. The role reports to the Production Planning manager and focuses on ensuring on-time releases into production based on capacity.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree, at least 3 years in materials or related field, and proficiency with ERP systems and MS Office. The position offers a day shift, competitive benefits, and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 3 years minimum experience in materials or related field.
• Awareness of functional impact on work processes and other functions.
• Ability to solve problems with several concrete variables in standardized situations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and database systems.
• Ability to prepare and maintain reports, business correspondence, work instructions, and process documentation.
• Experience working with ERP systems and supply chain operations.
• Working knowledge of Bills of Material (BOMs), material flow, and manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

• Check the possibility of order fulfillment based on available resources (materials, employees, equipment).
• Prepare Build plans and input planning data using ERP and other simulation tools.
• Monitor and control plan implementation; take necessary actions for deviations (Engineering/Manufacturing Change Orders).
• Monitor system accuracy daily/weekly (data, routing, BOM, CFT data, non-consumed demand, planned WOs).
• Review Clean to build reports, check material availability, replan if necessary.
• Monitor stock levels and handle stock differences; prepare KPI reports.
• Provide assistance or replacements to SCM and Order desk within the CFT.
• Advise non-exempt associates on day-to-day priority of customer requests.
• Address issues impacting performance to ship date, lead-time, response time, and inventory goals.
• Coordinate with CFT and support PI and Cycle count.
