Job summary

Wabtec is seeking a Senior Production Planner in State College, PA to manage production planning, material availability, and lifecycle management. You will coordinate with Demand, Purchasing, Engineering, and Manufacturing to ensure on-time delivery using ERP/MRP systems.

The role requires 5+ years in manufacturing, an associates (bachelors preferred) and strong planning/system skills. A base salary range with annual bonus supports competitive total compensation.

Qualifications

• Associates degree required; Bachelors degree desired.
• 5+ years in manufacturing with focus on production planning and material planning.
• Strong knowledge of ERP systems and MRP; highly organized, independent worker.
• Experience with Lean-Sigma and S&OP processes beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Manage and release the production plan, material availability, and prepare work orders to meet demand.
• Drive S&OP process transparency by identifying risks and constraints.
• Manage inventory levels to meet delivery expectations while minimizing stock.
• Coordinate phase-in/phase-out of products to limit E&O exposure and support launches.
• Communicate delivery plans and delays to Demand Planning, Manufacturing, and Customer Service.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives in supply chain and planning.
