Job summary

The Senior Production Planner at Evident Inspection Technologies, a division of Wabtec Corporation, will oversee production planning, material availability, and lifecycle management to ensure on-time delivery. This role coordinates with Demand, Purchasing, Engineering, and Manufacturing to optimize schedules and systems.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in manufacturing planning, strong ERP/MRP skills, and hands-on experience with ECOs, BOMs, and Lean-Sigma.

Qualifications

5+ years in manufacturing focusing on production planning and material planning.
Experience as planner or master production scheduler; strong ERP/MRP knowledge.
Detail-oriented and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Experience with ECOs, BOMs, and specification sheets.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
Lean-Sigma experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Manage and release the production plan and material availability; prepare work orders.
Coordinate with Demand, Purchasing, Engineering, and Manufacturing to ensure on-time delivery.
Balance supply and demand; drive S&OP processes and transparency of risks.
Control inventory levels and minimize stock while meeting delivery goals.
Coordinate phase-in/phase-out to limit E&O exposure and ensure new product launches.
Update customer delivery dates and communicate delays to Customer Service.
Release and expedite work orders to meet delivery dates.
Collaborate with planning and IT to drive process automation and scheduling.
