Job summary

Oilgear in Traverse City, MI is seeking a Senior Production Planner to own the master production schedule and drive material flow. This role involves prioritizing work across centers, setting planning parameters, and committing delivery dates to customers on behalf of the business.

You will lead capacity planning, monitor MRP data, and collaborate with Purchasing, Logistics, and Finance to maintain inventory targets and turn performance while resolving constraints.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain or related field.
• 8+ years of scheduling/production planning experience in manufacturing.
• Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems; Epicor preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own and maintain Master Production Schedule (MPS) to optimize capacity and meet delivery commitments.
• Set backlog recovery strategy and implement clear-to-build (CTB) plans.
• Lead capacity planning across key work centers and level-load shop schedules.
• Review Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) including ERP effectivity dates and phase-in/out strategies.
• Participate in Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) to translate demand into an executable production schedule.
