Job summary

Sonnax Transmission Company, part of Marmon Holdings, is seeking a Senior Planner to develop and maintain production plans supporting manufacturing operations, material availability, and customer demand. You will use MRP systems to balance supply and demand and coordinate with Purchasing and Manufacturing to ensure timely delivery.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree and six-plus years in manufacturing planning or supply chain, strong analytical and cross-functional collaboration skills, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required or preferred with six or more years in manufacturing planning, production scheduling, material planning, or supply chain.
• Experience in production planning, material requirements planning, inventory management, and production scheduling.
• Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain production plans, firm scheduling horizons, and production schedules to support operational efficiency and customer requirements.
• Support S&OP and Sales and Operations Execution processes.
• Analyze inventory levels, demand, reorder points, EOQ, and safety stock to balance availability and costs.
• Collaborate with Sales, Product Line Management, Marketing, Purchasing, and Manufacturing to improve forecast accuracy and on-time delivery.
• Monitor MRP and MPS exception messages and coordinate schedule adjustments.
• Balance customer requirements with manufacturing capacity and material availability.
• Coordinate subcontracted services and evaluate insourcing/outsourcing options.
• Assess material and capacity for new product introductions, including BOMs and build dates.
• Track backorders and communicate status updates.
