Job summary

Marmon Industrial Energy and Infrastructure is seeking a Senior Planner to develop and execute production plans that meet customer demand while optimizing capacity and inventory in a wire and cable manufacturing environment.

The role links Sales, Customer Service, Purchasing, Production, Quality, Engineering, and Supply Chain to ensure on-time delivery and continuous improvement initiatives. A BS degree and 5+ years of planning experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
• 5+ years in production planning, scheduling, materials planning, or supply chain in manufacturing.
• Experience in wire, cable, metals, or similar continuous processes is preferred.
• Strong understanding of MRP, scheduling, capacity planning, and inventory management.
• Experience with an ERP system such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, Infor, or Epicor.
• Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables and lookups.
• Analytical, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities.
• Proven ability to collaborate with production, purchasing, sales, engineering, quality, and management.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and communicate detailed production schedules based on demand and capacity.
• Convert orders and forecasts into actionable production plans and priorities.
• Coordinate cross-functional activities to meet delivery commitments.
• Monitor production performance and adjust schedules to address constraints.
• Manage material availability and supplier lead times with Purchasing.
• Maintain ERP data, BOMs, routings, and planning parameters; analyze planning KPIs.
