Job summary

Dover Precision Components in Houston, TX, is seeking a Senior Production Planner to lead production scheduling and capacity planning for the Bearings Plus brand. You will forecast, coordinate, and plan based on demand, aligning labor, materials, and machinery with customer needs while optimizing asset use.

Key responsibilities include managing the master production schedule, releasing orders, and maintaining ERP settings to improve inventory and delivery metrics.

Qualifications

• Minimum associate’s degree in supply chain, logistics, or related field.
• 4+ years of production scheduling experience in manufacturing.
• Strong background in Rough Cut Capacity Planning and capacity management.
• Experience procuring components and managing suppliers.
• ERP experience, especially Syteline, is a plus.
• Proficiency with Excel and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Manage Rough Cut Capacity Planning and Capacity Management to align with Master Production Schedule.
• Review orders and schedule manufacture/repair to meet due dates; release prints and materials.
• Set ERP parameters and policies to optimize inventory and capacity.
• Provide analysis on capacity constraints and inventory performance.
• Drive inventory turns, reduce cycle times, and improve on-time delivery.
• Coordinate with sales, operations, and buyers to meet lead times and priorities.
