Position Summary & Responsibilities

The Senior Planner II, Production Scheduler will deliver a finite production schedule and ensure all commitments for the Production Plan of Record are achieved. Develop and build processes to manage all production activities, including planned maintenance and calibration, to meet project milestones and Quality and Compliance requirements. Respond to changes in the Plan of Record and High-Level Schedules to identify constraints and propose mitigations.

  • Conduct regular meetings with the Production Planner to discuss priorities and monitor schedule adherence.
  • Meet daily with Operations to ensure schedule compliance.
  • Anticipate and communicate potential risks to the production plan.
  • Update the Standard Work Plan to reflect changes in timelines.
  • Liaise with Maintenance & Calibration teams to schedule calibrations, PMs, and ECOs.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure operational visibility and support.
  • Ensure materials are ready 7 days prior to campaign/MBR execution, including cleaning materials and gowning supplies.
  • Create and adjust downtime holds to reflect system capacity and resource availability.
  • Use finite scheduling models to create "what if" scenarios for ramp-up, changeovers, and recovery planning.
  • Revise and author SOPs as needed.
  • Support QMS records for manufacturing.
  • Develop and provide ERP system training for manufacturing staff.
  • Collaborate with Supply Chain Scheduling to optimize efficiencies.
  • Report on Manufacturing Schedule Attainment, Batch Completions, and POR Plan vs Actual.
  • Report metrics related to Batch Record review timelines and production order closures.
  • Use system reports to ensure raw materials are available and support budgeting.
  • Identify bottlenecks and propose solutions.
  • Manage business processes for scheduling non-standard work.
  • Support scheduling activities for New Product Introductions.
  • Participate or lead Operational Excellence initiatives.
  • Support shift continuous improvement projects and ERP/material issue resolutions.
  • Assist in preparing reports and presentations.
  • Manage return of unused components/materials and ERP transactions.
  • Serve as a point of contact for ERP incidents and project support.
  • Develop and maintain value stream maps.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Extensive manufacturing/planning experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Strong understanding of process manufacturing and computer systems, with leadership and collaboration skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Experience in pharmaceutical, food, or CPG manufacturing
  • Material management experience in manufacturing
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree
  • Deep knowledge of ERP systems, preferably SAP
  • Knowledge of VEEVA QMS system
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles
  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP)
  • Proven experience in production scheduling, planning, project management, or inventory management within manufacturing
  • Experience in GMP/cGMP environments
