Formación

• 10+ years of relevant work experience in chemical manufacturing or related industry.
• Must have experience with unionized workforces.
• Must possess and demonstrate strong functional expertise and people management skills.
• Must be proficient in the use of personal computer applications and business information systems such as PI system, DCS, SAP, Microsoft Office Tools.
• Strong focus on teamwork and communication between management and labor.
• Ability to build relationships across the organization and drive change.
• Ability to identify complex problems and organize teams to resolve them.
• Process Technology and Chemical Engineering/Manufacturing.
• Process Safety Management (PSM).
• Quality and Process improvement.

Responsabilidades

• Ensure compliance with policies, and environmental, health, safety/OSHA, and quality standards.
• Meet environmental targets and sustainability goals.
• Promote risk-reducing initiatives and mentor shift supervisors and hourly employees in risk assessment.
• Drive optimization of production throughput and product quality.
• Lead production activities and set priorities to ensure safety, quality, and productivity.
• Coordinate between Production, Operations, Business, and Supply Chain to meet targets.
• Ensure effective plant shutdowns and startup.
• Drive continuous improvement using Lean, MDI, Safety Gemba Walks, Core Problem Solving, and 5S.
• Set and achieve SMART targets in HSE, Quality, Production, Cost; report KPIs.
• Manage department cost, spending, and budget; lead cost-reduction initiatives.
• Lead and develop engineers and supervisors.
• Foster a positive Union-Management relationship and coach front line leaders on Labor relations.
• Manage resources and ensure training and qualifications are up to date.
• Implement cleanliness, operator rounds, and communication across shifts.
• Participate as a member of the plant Lead Team.
