Job summary

ITW is seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to lead front-line production with accountability for daily and weekly planning, cross-shift coordination, and continuous improvement under the Plant Manager’s direction.

The role emphasizes safe, efficient operations that meet quality, delivery, and cost targets while developing hourly staff and mentoring junior supervisors. Requires 2–4 years in manufacturing leadership and a related Bachelor’s degree.

Qualifications

• Requires 2 to 4 years of manufacturing or operations leadership experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or Engineering is preferred.
• Proven ability to develop and adjust production plans, balance labor and equipment resources, coordinate across shifts.
• Proven ability to use SQDC performance information to identify gaps and lead corrective action.
• Disciplined self-starter with strong organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develops and adjusts daily and weekly production plans based on customer priorities, demand, staffing, materials, and capacity.
• Coordinates execution across shifts and support functions; escalates decisions affecting commitments, overtime, staffing or capacity.
• Lead hourly production employees and support development of supervisors; ensure safe, efficient production meeting quality, delivery, and cost targets.
• Monitor production performance using SQDC metrics; identify trends and implement corrective actions.
• Provide cross-shift coordination by communicating production status and recovery plans; partner with engineering, maintenance, quality, and materials.
