Job summary

Honda Development & Manufacturing of America in Marysville, OH is seeking a Production Equipment Senior Engineer to serve as Project Leader and SME, designing optimal machine concepts and executing automated equipment projects for new vehicle launches.

You will lead capital projects, perform feasibility analyses with 3D CAD tools, and provide on-site support during installation and buyoffs, working with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering (or equivalent work experience).
• 2+ years of experience in automated equipment development, machine design, or manufacturing engineering.
• Hands-on proficiency with 3D CAD software and automated machinery simulation tools.
• Strong technical communication and cross-functional project management skills.
• US work authorization without employer sponsorship required.

Responsibilities

• Develop optimal machine concepts and automated equipment designs utilizing sound engineering principles.
• Perform detailed process feasibility studies of new vehicle components using 3D CAD simulation tools.
• Author formal Equipment Specification and Scope of Work documentation for machine tool vendors.
• Lead small-to-midsize capital equipment projects, managing critical path schedules and milestones.
• Provide on-site engineering support during equipment installation, integration, and buyoff runoffs.
