Job summary

Honda in Marysville, OH seeks an experienced engineer to introduce and implement equipment for new model releases. You will use 3D CAD and simulations to identify changepoints, drive projects, and deliver design specifications with a focus on quality, cost, and safety.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering, at least 5 years of experience, and strong communication. Expect travel and a competitive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
• Deep knowledge of 3D CAD systems and software; background in automated equipment development.
• Excellent technical communication skills (written and oral).

Responsibilities

• Lead development of new/optimal machine concepts for process changes using sound engineering principles.
• Act as SME and support Project Leadership functions, coordinating with PL/PM and external resources.
• Lead midsize/large projects from engineering perspective to meet milestones.
• Perform detailed process studies of car parts to understand machine capability and feedback to designers.
• Create Specification/Scope of Work documents and verify on-site during installation.
• Mentor associates and maintain critical path schedules.
