Job summary

Boeing Commercial Airplanes is seeking a Production Asset Software & Controls Equipment Engineer at the Renton, WA location to support production equipment on the 737 program. This contract role is through a Boeing approved third party.

The engineer will design, procure, and sustain electrical/electronic automated equipment used in manufacturing and testing, provide real-time troubleshooting, and collaborate with Design, Manufacturing, Metrology, and Operations teams to improve data collection

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree from an accredited engineering or related program; ABET preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of related engineering work experience.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate hardware and software for automated control systems.
• Implement upgraded hardware and software into production equipment.
• Develop safety solutions for equipment and perform root cause analysis.
• Design data collection strategies and support PLC/CAD work.
• Lead projects involving acquisition or modification of production equipment.
• Collaborate across engineering, fabrication, purchasing, finance, and operations.
