Job summary

Boeing Commercial Airplanes in Portland, OR seeks a contract Equipment Engineer to design, procure, and sustain electrical/electronic automated equipment for fabrication and testing of airplanes. You’ll work on real-time troubleshooting, data collection, and system improvements in a production environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree required in engineering/computing/physics or related field.
• 3+ years of related engineering experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop and sustain electrical/electronic automated equipment for manufacturing and testing of airplanes.
• Design, procure, and manage production equipment; support budgets and project scope.
• Provide real-time troubleshooting and root-cause analysis for production equipment.
• Collaborate with design, manufacturing, maintenance, and metrology teams.
• Develop and release bid/purchase specs; manage hardware/software updates and configurations.
• Maintain data collection systems tracking OEE, MTBF, MTTR, and uptime.
