Job summary

U.S. Energy seeks a Senior Production Engineer to optimize oil and gas production across operated assets in the Permian Basin.

You will work with Reservoir Engineering, Geology, Operations, and field personnel to develop engineering solutions that maximize production while maintaining safety and cost efficiency. This role blends field operations with rigorous analysis, leading optimization projects, preparing AFEs and capital estimates, and managing vendor relationships to ensure quality and

Qualifications

• Must hold a Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering.
• 5+ years of production engineering experience with an upstream operator.
• Strong Permian Basin experience is preferred.
• Hands-on experience supporting operated assets and production optimization.

Responsibilities

• Optimize production across operated assets and identify opportunities to improve well productivity.
• Analyze production trends and diagnose underperforming wells.
• Design and optimize artificial lift systems (ESP, gas lift, rod pump, jet pump).
• Develop and execute well intervention and production optimization projects.
• Prepare AFEs, engineering economics, and capital estimates while monitoring budgets.
