Job summary

In this role you will collaborate with engineers and plant staff, apply SPC, lead improvement efforts, and ensure change control and safety protocols are followed. Strong operations experience and Six Sigma/Lean knowledge are preferred.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering (Chemical Engineering preferred).
• 4+ years of operations experience in a chemical facility.
• Experience with technology and process safety in a chemical facility.
• Knowledge of Six Sigma and Lean; certifications preferred.
• Understanding of business fundamentals to improve unit financial performance.

Responsibilities

• Understand all processes, equipment and control technologies.
• Collaborate with plant personnel to optimize operations to meet goals and KPIs.
• Apply best practices to optimize operations and ensure technologies are utilized.
• Participate in troubleshooting and document findings in operating discipline.
• Use SPC to maximize asset utilization and produce low-cost, quality products.
• Initiate changes to operating procedures with experts and technicians.
• Communicate technical information to plant personnel, centers, or experts.
• Provide leadership in day-to-day decision making for the operating area.
• Drive process improvements to reduce variation, increase capacity and yield.
• Monitor raw material variability and impact on production.
• Conduct root-cause analysis and FMEA as required.
