THOR Solutions is seeking a Senior Production Control Specialist to support the U.S. Coast Guard Waterways Commerce Cutter project Resident Office in Bayou La Batre, AL.

The role involves overseeing ship production activities, contract management, and coordination with shipbuilders and USCG to ensure timely, compliant construction. The position requires at least 5 years of production oversight experience, strong scheduling and communication skills, and the ability to work onsite with potential

Qualifications

• Highschool diploma or GED equivalent.
• 5+ years of experience in production oversight/control for ship construction.
• Knowledge of ship construction concepts.
• Proficiency with schedule software (MS Project or Primavera).
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Provide production oversight/support for ship construction; visit shipyards.
• Assist PRO production lead with planning and coordinating contract management affecting ship production; analyze options.
• Review and advise on contract modifications, waivers, deviations, and engineering change proposals for cost/schedule trade-offs.
