Candidates should have 5+ years in production oversight, strong knowledge of ship construction, and proficiency with MS Project or Primavera. Local travel in the Gulf Coast region may be required.

Qualifications

• Highschool diploma/GED equivalent required.
• At least five (5) years in production oversight/control for ship construction.
• Knowledge of ship construction processes.
• Proficiency in scheduling tools MS Project or Primavera.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide production expertise and support the PRO on ship construction matters.
• Make frequent shipyard visits to oversee production activities.
• Support PRO production lead with planning and coordinating contract management influencing ship production.
• Review shipyard contract modifications and change proposals for cost/schedule trade-offs.
• Participate in meetings with USCG, shipbuilders, and contractors to resolve production issues.
• Monitor progress, conduct on-site reviews, and provide evaluations of production status.
• Establish liaison with manufacturers and shipbuilders to address problems and develop solutions.
