Job summary

SpaceX in Redmond is seeking a Senior Product Security Engineer to strengthen Starlink’s security across routers, gateways, satellites, and software infrastructure. You will influence cryptographic services, secure boot, and incident response, collaborating with multiple engineering teams.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in security software development, proficiency in Python/C++/Go, and hands-on experience with OS or distributed systems security.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS or STEM with 5+ years in security software development.
• Proficient in Python, C++, or Golang for security software.
• Experience designing security solutions for OS/distributed systems.

Responsibilities

• Design and build security infrastructure for Starlink, including cryptographic services.
• Develop security features for Starlink systems including routers and satellites.
• Design security into factory processes and provide network services support.
• Maintain production systems and improve security posture through implementation and guidance.
• Build prototypes and test security improvements, advancing our mission for secure Internet.
• Advocate for secure and reliable Internet access for underserved communities.
