Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Senior Product Security Engineer for Starlink to influence software security across product lines. You will design cryptographic services and security features for Starlink hardware and software, while shaping the security posture of factory processes and production systems.

The role requires advanced cryptography knowledge, OS and network security experience, and the ability to work across teams to outsmart adversaries on an interplanetary scale.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or another STEM discipline; 5+ years in security software development, or 7+ years without a degree.
• Experience with one or more programming languages (Python, C++, Golang).
• Experience designing security solutions for OS, distributed systems, or large-scale infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Design and build security infrastructure for Starlink, including cryptographic services.
• Develop security features for Starlink systems (router, dish, gateways, satellites).
• Integrate security into factory processes and provide supporting network services.
