Job summary

SpaceX in Hawthorne, CA is seeking an exceptional security software engineer to help secure Starlink and other spacecraft and ground systems. You will design security infrastructure, implement crypto services, and work across router, dish, gateways, and satellites.

Required: CS/ STEM degree or 2+ years in security software, proficiency in Python/C++/Golang, and experience designing OS/distributed security solutions; TPM/HSM experience a plus.

Qualifications

• Experience with Python, C++, or Golang.
• Experience designing security solutions for operating systems or distributed systems.

Responsibilities

• Design and build security infrastructure for Starlink and related systems.
• Develop security features for Starlink hardware and software components.
• Incorporate security into factory processes and provide network services.
• Maintain production systems and improve security posture through implementation and guidance.
• Build prototypes and test security improvements.
• Contribute to secure and reliable Internet delivery for underserved communities.
