Job summary

Squads, a fintech company building APIs for the stablecoin economy, seeks a senior security practitioner. You’ll own product and infrastructure security across Multisig, Altitude, Fuse, and related services, reviewing designs, guiding threat models, and driving remediation across cloud environments.

You’ll work with leadership to define secure path practices and scale security across teams. You’ll read code, build tooling, and set standards to ensure security becomes the default as engineering

Qualifications

• 8+ years in product security, application security, or security engineering with a software engineering foundation.
• Ownership of threat modeling and architecture reviews for complex systems.
• Proven track record of finding critical vulnerabilities in large production codebases (TS, Rust, Go, Python).
• Experience building and running vulnerability management programs end to end including CI/CD scanning.
• Deep expertise in IAM, secrets management, network controls, and container security (AWS or similar).

Responsibilities

• Design & code review participation in security reviews for new products and infra changes.
• Lead threat modeling and security design reviews for new features.
• Perform hands-on secure code review across backend, APIs, frontends, and Solana programs.
• Own vulnerability management lifecycle from audits, pentests, and bug bounty to remediation tracking.
• Set severity and SLA standards and enforce them with engineering teams.
• Coordinate bug bounty intake and align with audit partners and internal assessments.
• Tune SDLC security controls: SAST, secrets, dependencies, container scanning in CI/CD.
• Review IAM, network controls, encryption and secrets management across cloud environments.
