Job summary

Squads is seeking a Senior Product Security Engineer to own security across our multi-product platform, including Multisig, Altitude, and Fuse. You will partner with the Head of Security, CTO, and engineering leads to design, review, and enforce secure by-default practices throughout the development lifecycle.

You will read code, model threats, and build tooling and standards to scale security as we grow, balancing rigorous risk management with fast-moving product delivery.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in product security, application security, or security engineering with a software engineering foundation.
• Ownership of threat modeling and architecture review for complex systems, with influence over design decisions.
• Track record of finding critical vulnerabilities in large production codebases (TypeScript, Rust, Go, or Python), including through LLM/agent-based workflows.

Responsibilities

• Join product and engineering discussions as the security reviewer, ensuring designs are secure before implementation.
• Lead threat modeling and security design reviews for new products, features, and infrastructure changes.
• Perform hands-on secure code review across backend services, APIs, frontends, and Solana programs, focusing on authentication, authorization, and access control.
• Own vulnerability management lifecycle: triage, remediation tracking, and verification; set severity and SLA standards.
• Define and scale secure SDLC practices and infrastructure security controls across CI/CD, IAM, keys, rotation, and encryption.
