Job summary

CHAOS Industries, headquartered in Los Angeles, is seeking a Senior Cybersecurity Engineer focused on Product Security to secure next-generation sensor platforms and software ecosystems. You will work with Engineering, Embedded Systems, Infrastructure, and Programs to embed security across the lifecycle.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years in cybersecurity engineering, experience in regulated environments, and hands-on threat modeling.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity engineering, product security, application security, or related roles.
• Experience with software security design and/or secure system architecture principles.
• Hands-on experience supporting threat modeling and cybersecurity risk assessments.
• Knowledge of SSDLC practices and application security concepts.

Responsibilities

• Assist with secure software and hardware system design for mission-critical platforms.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate security requirements throughout the SDLC.
• Conduct threat modeling exercises for software, embedded, hardware, and infrastructure.
• Develop and document secure design standards, engineering guidance, and product security best practices.
• Support vulnerability remediation, code review, and dependency management.
• Conduct cybersecurity risk assessments for products, systems, and environments.
• Map attack surfaces and harden potential exploitation paths.
• Prioritize and remediate identified security risks with engineering teams.
