Job summary

CHAOS Industries is seeking a seasoned security leader to build and run a world-class SOC in a defense-focused environment. You will define the operating model, staffing, budget, and vendor relationships while guiding detection across enterprise IT and secure enclaves.

You will drive MITRE ATT&CK alignment, coordinate investigations, and champion NIST SP 800-171, DFARS, and related controls. On-site in LA or DC with US citizenship and clearance expected.

Responsibilities

• Own and lead SOC operations across detection, response, and threat hunting.
• Develop and maintain playbooks, runbooks, and standard operating procedures.
• Serve as incident commander for security incidents and manage communications with executives and stakeholders.
• Ensure DFARS 252.204-7012 obligations and compliance with applicable regulations.
