Job summary

Itron, Inc. is seeking a senior security leader within the Information Security team to advance product security across software development, cloud, and engineering environments.

You will secure source code, supply chains, CI/CD pipelines, and architectures while enabling agile development. You will mentor engineers, drive secure practices, and collaborate with Product Development, DevOps, Cloud Engineering, Enterprise Architecture, and Cybersecurity teams globally.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, IS, Cybersecurity or related field; or equivalent.
• 7+ years in cybersecurity, product security, or related technical discipline.
• 5+ years securing software development environments, CI/CD pipelines, or software supply chains.
• Expert-level experience designing security controls across cloud, SaaS, enterprise, and product engineering environments.
• Strong knowledge of software supply chain security, secrets management, privileged access management, and artifact integrity.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture and engineering of security controls protecting source code repos, development environments, build systems, and release processes.
• Design and implement secure CI/CD patterns, artifact management, signing services, and deployment workflows from code to release.
• Collaborate with security-by-design teams to operationalize requirements, vulnerability management, threat modeling, and release controls.
• Establish and promote secure application and API security standards including authentication, authorization, data protection, logging, and abuse prevention.
• Reduce attack surfaces through secure architecture, identity management, and least-privilege access models.
• Drive modernization of development environments to mitigate credential compromise and malicious code risks.
• Integrate security capabilities across source control, CI/CD, cloud services, and governance tools.
• Automate security controls with APIs, infrastructure-as-code, and scripting (Python, PowerShell, Terraform, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab).
• Establish security logging, monitoring, and detection requirements with security operations.
• Develop guardrails and procedural docs to support scalable product delivery.
• Ensure auditable evidence for SBOM, release approvals, and regulatory/customer requirements.
• Mentor engineers to adopt secure, collaborative engineering practices.
