Job summary

Itron, Inc. is seeking a senior cybersecurity leader to advance product security across software development, cloud, and engineering environments.

You will secure source code, CI/CD pipelines, and software supply chains while enabling agile, customer-centric development practices. You will mentor engineers, influence cross-functional teams, and implement scalable security solutions with partners across Product Development, DevOps, Cloud Engineering, Enterprise Architecture, and Cybersecurity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IS/Cybersecurity or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years in cybersecurity, product security, or DevSecOps.
• 5+ years securing software development environments and CI/CD pipelines.
• Expert level in security controls across cloud, SaaS, and product engineering.
• Strong knowledge of software supply chain security and artifact integrity.
• Understanding of OWASP Top 10 and modern authz/authn models.
• Experience communicating risk to engineering leadership and execs.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture and engineering of security controls protecting source code, environments, build systems, and release processes.
• Design secure CI/CD patterns, artifact management, signing services, and deployment workflows.
• Collaborate with security-by-design and testing teams on requirements, vulnerability management, threat modeling, and release controls.
• Establish and promote secure application and API security standards (authn, authz, data protection, logging).
• Collaborate with engineering to reduce attack surfaces via secure architecture and least-privilege access.
• Modernize development environments to mitigate credential, dependency, and release risks.
• Integrate security across source control, CI/CD, cloud services, artifacts, governance tools, and monitoring.
• Automate security controls with APIs, IaC, and scripting (Python, PowerShell, Terraform, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitLab).
• Set up security logging, monitoring, and detection in development and release environments.
• Develop secure architecture guardrails, standards, procedures, and documentation for scalable product delivery.
• Ensure auditable evidence for SBOM, artifact integrity, and release approvals.
