Job summary

Itron, Inc. seeks an experienced senior security leader to advance product security across software development, cloud, and engineering environments.

You will protect source code, software supply chains, CI/CD pipelines, and product architectures while enabling agile, customer-centric development practices. You will mentor engineers, influence cross-functional teams, and drive adoption of secure, innovative engineering practices across global product environments.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field.
7+ years in cybersecurity, product security, or related discipline.
5+ years securing software development environments, CI/CD, or software supply chains.
Expert-level in security controls across cloud and enterprise environments.
Strong knowledge of software supply chain security and artifact integrity.
Understanding of OWASP Top 10 and API security concepts.
Experience communicating risk to engineering leadership.

Responsibilities

Lead architecture and engineering of security controls for code repositories and release processes.
Design secure CI/CD patterns, artifact management, and deployment workflows.
Collaborate with security teams to operationalize requirements and threat modeling.
Establish secure application and API security standards including data protection and logging.
Reduce attack surfaces through secure design and least-privilege access models.
Automate security controls using IaC and scripting (Python/PowerShell).
Develop guardrails and documentation for scalable product delivery.
