Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and quality teams, adhering to SEMI S2/S8/S10, NFPA 79, and IEC 61010-1 standards, with occasional travel as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor or Master of Science in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Industrial, Safety, or a related engineering discipline.
  • 5-7 years of experience in product safety, compliance, or equipment engineering preferred.
  • Expertise in engineering risk assessment methods and interpreting drawings, schematics and specifications.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to document findings for technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally to customer and manufacturing sites as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Leads cross-functional evaluations of new technologies and their potential interaction with other systems using structured risk assessment methods (FMEA, FTA, HazOp, SEMI S10).
  • Develop and implement programs that minimize risk to employees, customers/facility, and the environment relating to Applied products.
  • Initiates product and system safety analysis on components, subsystems, and complete systems.
  • Leads compliance evaluation of products against company, industrial guidelines, standards and governmental requirements.
  • Supports design reviews from a product safety perspective, providing early input to design teams.
