Job summary

Marathon Petroleum is seeking a Senior Product Owner to organize, prioritize, and assess work for Agile teams across Source to Receipt and Enterprise Payables. You will drive strategy, roadmaps, and measurable business value while partnering with business stakeholders and delivery teams.

The role focuses on SAP MM, SAP Procurement and Accounts Payables, and Open Text VIM to modernize the procure-to-pay value chain and improve efficiency and customer experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in information systems or related field or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience with Source to Receipt and Enterprise Payables.
• Experience with SAP MM and SAP Procurement and Accounts Payables.
• Experience in energy, manufacturing, or transportation industries preferred.
• Product Owner Certification (CSPO, PSPO) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Builds customer and internal-facing products with superior user experience across multiple verticals.
• Ensures alignment between teams to build and prioritize product roadmaps, plan releases, and align them with business objectives.
• Collaborate with Agile teams, stakeholders, and business representatives to address and resolve issues that arise during product development.
• Works with cross-functional teams to align product strategies, gather insights, and plan releases.
• Identifies product-related issues, makes decisions and conducts trade-offs to stay on track.
• Prioritizes short-term feature backlog and long-term product roadmap.
• Conducts customer research and<S> product discovery to synthesize market factors into strategy.
• Collaborates with customers to understand challenges & opportunities.
• Collects quantitative data to evaluate viability of product initiatives.
• Writes epics and stories to support initiatives; communicates customer/stakeholder needs for business objectives.
