Job summary

Marathon Petroleum Corporation in San Antonio, TX is seeking a Senior Product Owner to lead Source to Receipt and Enterprise Payables capabilities. You will translate business strategy into roadmaps, manage backlogs, write epics and stories, and collaborate with SAP and other teams to deliver scalable solutions that improve operational efficiency and financial outcomes.

The role requires 5+ years of relevant experience, SAP MM/Procurement and Accounts Payables familiarity, and CSPO/PSPO

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in information systems preferred, related field or equivalent experience.
5+ years of relevant experience required.
Experience supporting Source to Receipt, Enterprise Payables (Source to Pay/Procure to Pay) business capabilities is required.
Experience with SAP MM (Materials Management) and SAP Procurement and Accounts Payables preferred.
Experience within the energy, manufacturing, or transportation industries preferred.
Product Owner Certification (CSPO, PSPO) preferred.

Responsibilities

Builds customer and internal-facing products with superior user experience, accountable for an established or moderate complexity product.
Enables alignment between teams to build and prioritize product roadmaps, plan releases, and align with business objectives.
Collaborate with Agile teams, stakeholders, and business representatives to address issues during product development.
Work with cross-functional teams to align product strategies, gather insights, and plan releases.
Identify product-related issues, make decisions and perform trade-offs to stay on track toward commitments.
Prioritize short-term backlog and long-term roadmap for products.
