Job summary

Marathon Petroleum Corporation seeks a Lead Product Owner to provide dedicated Digital support for the Middle Office. You will own the digital product vision, roadmap, intake, and backlog, partnering with Middle Office leaders, Digital teams, data management, and architecture to translate complex business needs into scalable solutions that deliver measurable value.

You will collaborate with stakeholders to prioritize features, manage dependencies, and ensure governance with enterprise standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, related field or equivalent work experience.
• Product Owner certification required.
• Product Management experience preferred.
• 7+ years of relevant experience required.
• Experience in oil and gas or energy industry preferred.
• Experience supporting Middle Office, commercial risk, or performance‑measurement capabilities preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the continuous delivery of value through a complex digital product portfolio.
• Develop and prioritize the Middle Office digital roadmap and backlog.
• Collaborate with Agile teams and stakeholders to translate business needs into value.
• Establish engagement models across multiple departments for governance and direction.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Information Systems related field

Product Owner certification

Product Management experience

7+ years of relevant experience

Experience in oil and gas / energy industry

Experience with Middle Office, risk, or performance measurement capabilities
