Job summary

Marathon Petroleum Company LP is seeking a Senior Business Systems Analyst for the Middle Office. The role focuses on translating risk oversight, performance measurement, data, reporting, and workflow needs into actionable requirements and technology solutions.

You will work with Middle Office stakeholders and Digital teams to document, validate, and implement improved processes. You will lead testing, define ownership and controls, and drive adoption across multiple partner teams, including IT,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems preferred; related field or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of relevant experience required.
• Experience in oil and gas, refining, midstream, commodity trading, or energy industry preferred.
• Experience documenting and improving business processes, data flows, and system interactions across multiple teams.

Responsibilities

• Leads improvement recommendations to senior management and global teams.
• Defines current and target-state processes, data flows, and system interactions; translates needs into requirements and user stories.
• Provides recommendations for systems enhancements and data governance.
• Partners with business teams to analyze performance and drive planning.
• Leads cost-benefit and ROI analyses for proposed systems.
• Mentors and improves IT Service Management practices.
• Leads cross-functional testing strategy for Middle Office solutions, from requirements to UAT.
• Documents user stories and feedback; communicates with senior leaders for tech improvements.
