Humana Inc. is seeking a Senior Principal Product Owner / Architect to unify product strategy and solution architecture across four core segments.

You will own cross-segment roadmaps, write architectural blueprints, and partner with engineering, security, data, and compliance to deliver interoperable health solutions that serve members, providers, and partners. In this role you will govern ADRs, lead governance forums, drive backlog prioritization, ensure HIPAA/PHI compliance, and promote

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
10+ years IT experience spanning product management and/or solution architecture.
5+ years in healthcare IT architecture or senior product ownership in regulated environments.
Proven ability to manage cross-functional roadmaps across multiple business lines.
Hands-on Azure services experience; Snowflake/Databricks data platform knowledge.
Expertise in API design, event-driven architectures, and microservices; FHIR R4/HL7.
Ability to produce ADRs and solution blueprints for engineering teams.
Experience translating governance outputs into actionable direction.
Proficiency in Agile/SAFe delivery; executive-level communication.
Generative AI experience and integration patterns in healthcare context.

Responsibilities

Own cross-segment product strategy across Pharmacy, PCO, Home Solutions, and Humana Military.
Lead architectural decision-making, reference architectures, and ADRs.
Manage top-level backlog items; decompose epics into executable stories with acceptance criteria and NFRs.
Lead governance and compliance checks including HIPAA/PHI and interoperability rules.
Define integration contracts, API standards, and data boundaries for cross-segment data flows.
Promote component reuse and platform consolidation opportunities.
Liaise between segment leaders, engineering, security, data, and CIO teams.
Translate complex decisions into executive-level narratives and delivery runways.
Drive data observability and end-to-end protection for shared assets.
Oversee enterprise platform strategy across four segments.
