Job summary

Panasonic Avionics Corporation seeks a Project Manager III, Product Obsolescence to coordinate a cross-functional team across ABU (Osaka), Engineering, Material Planning, Product Managers, Procurement, Repair/Maintenance and Regions for the termination and lifecycle management of product/system obsolescence.

The role requires mentoring, process-improvement leadership, and the ability to coordinate ORB meetings, analyze data, and manage lifecycle projects while ensuring customer satisfaction

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (EE or CS) required.
• MBA preferred with emphasis in marketing, finance or MIS.
• 15 total years of experience including 5 years in product management and 10 years in aerospace/aviation/IFE or related industry.

Responsibilities

• Oversee obsolescence process across cross-functional groups.
• Mentor junior staff and create training materials.
• Lead high-level obsolescence mitigation initiatives company-wide.
• Coordinate Obsolescence Review Board (ORB) and drive lifecycle planning.
• Ensure customer satisfaction while addressing obsolescence with internal and external stakeholders.
• Analyze data from internal and external sources.
