Job summary

IBM is seeking a Product Marketing Manager for IBM Confluent to own and influence messaging, positioning, and go-to-market strategy. You will work with Events, Field Marketing, Developer Relations, Product, Campaigns, Analysts, Press Relations, and Sales to drive awareness and pipeline.

You will craft stories, create content for developers and technical audiences, and collaborate across teams to align market strategies with product roadmaps.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of product marketing for B2B SaaS aimed at technical users or 5+ years in consulting/B2B SaaS/product
• Clear copywriting, product evangelism, competitive positioning and messaging skills
• Strong technical acumen to understand complex products and architectures with Product Management alignment
• Data-informed mindset with measurable goals for projects
• Proactive, self-directed with ability to drive initiatives from idea to execution
• Thrives in cross-functional environments and collaborates with diverse stakeholders
• Empathetic leadership, humility, and trust-building across teams
• Excellent organization and efficiency managing complex projects end-to-end

Responsibilities

• Define market requirements to differentiate positioning and messaging for IBM Confluent
• Craft compelling stories that drive product, services, and solution consideration and adoption
• Create audience-specific content (blogs, eBooks, whitepapers, architectures, web copy)
• Lead cross-functional collaboration across marketing, product, design, sales and ecosystem
• Lead data-driven GTM strategies and optimize funnel performance
• Engage with clients, partners, and analysts to align market strategies and outcomes
• Influence product roadmap by prioritizing user needs with Product Management
