Hewlett Packard Enterprise is seeking a Senior Product Marketing Manager for Observability to lead go-to-market, messaging, and content across the OpsRamp product lifecycle. You will collaborate with product, sales, and marketing teams globally to differentiate our observability platform and drive pipeline growth.

You will position solutions for SRE, platform engineering, and IT operations teams, addressing incident management, root cause analysis, and hybrid cloud observability.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Computer Science, or a related field. MBA or equivalent experience is a plus.
  • Marketing Experience: Minimum 5+ years of product marketing experience in a complex hybrid cloud or cloud-native environment.
  • Experience with Observability solutions is required.
  • Technical Knowledge: Demonstrate experience marketing observability platforms across metrics, logs, traces, event correlation.

Responsibilities

  • Product Positioning and Messaging: Develop clear and compelling product positioning that highlights the value of HPE OpsRamp solution in infrastructure monitoring, cloud-native observability, and AIOps.
  • Go-to-Market Strategy: Define and execute go-to-market strategies for existing and new product offerings, collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Content Creation: Produce marketing collateral, including solution briefs, whitepapers, case studies, demo videos, and blogs; support demand generation campaigns.
  • Thought Leadership: Build thought leadership about observability trends and hybrid cloud operations through analyst engagement and industry content.
  • Market Research and Competitive Analysis: Identify trends and competitive insights; translate into actionable recommendations.
  • Sales Enablement: Develop battle cards, product training materials, and objection-handling guides; enable sales teams.
  • Customer Advocacy: Capture customer stories to influence product roadmap decisions.

Job Description

As a Senior Product Marketing Manager for Observability, you have the opportunity to be a strategic leader responsible for driving business success for HPE OpsRamp Software across the product lifecycle. We’re a fast-growing team looking for an accomplished observability product marketer who can collaborate with leaders in product management, sales, and marketing teams across a global, matrixed organization.

You’ll shape messaging that differentiates HPE observability from the crowd, lead go-to-market initiatives with precision, and deliver high-conversion content that consistently drives measurable pipeline growth. You’ll empower sales and partners with clear, actionable positioning while helping customers solve IT challenges to accelerate growth in a fast-growing market. Specifically, a strong candidate can position solutions for personas including SRE, platform engineering, and IT operations teams, and for use cases such as incident management, root cause analysis, and hybrid cloud observability. You know the market and understand leading observability vendors (e.g., Datadog, Dynatrace, Splunk, Elastic, New Relic, Grafana, App Dynamics, SolarWinds) to articulate differentiated value.

This position is open to remote candidates throughout the United States. However, employees who reside within a 50-mile radius of an HPE office will be expected to work in a hybrid capacity, in accordance with HPE's hybrid work policy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Product Positioning and Messaging: Develop clear and compelling product positioning that highlights the value of HPE OpsRamp solution in infrastructure monitoring, cloud-native observability, and AIOps. Maintain messaging frameworks tailored to target personas, industries, and use cases.
  • Go-to-Market Strategy: Define and execute go-to-market strategies for existing and new product offerings. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, engineering, and sales, to align marketing plans with product roadmaps and business objectives, while leading launches.
  • Content Creation: Produce high-impact marketing collateral, including solution briefs, whitepapers, case studies, demo videos, and blogs. Partner with demand generation teams to create campaign assets, landing pages, eBooks, webinars, and compelling offers that drive pipeline.
  • Thought Leadership: Build thought leadership about observability trends, hybrid cloud operations, and AIOps through analyst engagement, speaking opportunities, and industry content.
  • Market Research and Competitive Analysis: Conduct market research to identify trends, customer pain points, and competitive insights. Translate research findings into actionable recommendations for product positioning and differentiation.
  • Sales Enablement: Develop sales enablement tools, such as battle cards, product training materials, and objection-handling guides. Partner with sales to ensure they are equipped to effectively communicate product value to customers.
  • Customer Advocacy: Work closely with customer success teams to identify and showcase customer success stories. Leverage customer feedback to refine messaging and influence product roadmap decisions.
