Role Overview

We seek a results-driven Senior Product Manager specializing in Technical SEO to optimize organic search performance and manage websites with over 50 million URLs.

About You

• You are organized, customer-centric, with SEO experience, eager to help users discover Scribd’s offerings.
• You can clarify complex concepts and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
• You see your role as a cross-functional partner, involved in execution beyond requirements.

You Will

• Own the SEO product roadmap, balancing technical improvements and content opportunities.
• Manage technical SEO strategies including website architecture, link-building, metadata, structured data, XML sitemaps, and speed optimization.
• Collaborate with engineering to implement scalable SEO solutions.
• Conduct SEO audits and strategize improvements.
• Work with marketing, product, engineering, and data teams to embed SEO best practices.
• Use data insights to drive innovative SEO techniques for increased traffic and rankings.
• Educate stakeholders on SEO trends and updates.
• Monitor and report on SEO KPIs like crawl errors, rankings, traffic, and conversions.

You Have

• 5+ years in product management or similar, with at least 3 years focused on technical SEO for large-scale platforms.
• Experience with customer-centric SEO approaches that balance quality and business goals.
• Proficiency with Google Analytics, Search Console, Bing Webmaster Tools, and SEO tools.
• Deep knowledge of SEO guidelines, algorithms, and search engine updates.
• Technical skills in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and server-side factors.
• Hands-on experience with crawl analysis, site architecture, core web vitals, and structured data.
• Experience with SEO software like Botify, Deepcrawl, and rank tracking tools.
• Strong communication, leadership, and project management skills.
• Knowledge of international SEO and site migrations.
• Familiarity with the tech subscription market for media is a plus.

Compensation & Location

Salary ranges vary by location: in California, $139,000–$217,000; outside California, $114,500–$206,000; in Canada, $144,000–$205,000 CAD. Compensation considers experience, skills, education, and organizational needs. Position includes equity and benefits.

Location Requirements

Primary residence must be near specified cities in the US, Canada, or Mexico.
