Stepful in New York City is seeking a Senior Product Manager for the Student Experience to own the end-to-end journey—from onboarding through graduation, certification, to job placement. You will rethink how we deliver outcomes and build experiences that help more students finish, get certified, and be hired.

This role reports to the Senior Director, Product Management and collaborates with student success coaches, instructors, and cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of product management experience with a track record building consumer-facing products.
• Proven success moving engagement, retention, or conversion metrics for a large user base with launch references.
• Structured discovery, hypothesis-driven experimentation, prioritization, and clear documentation.
• Deep obsession with users and ability to translate qualitative insights and data into decisions.
• Comfort working with complex data sets and writing SQL to generate insights.
• Exceptional stakeholder management skills with operators, instructors, execs, and technical teams.
• Ability to articulate tradeoffs and move quickly with imperfect information.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, crafting narratives that drive alignment.

Responsibilities

• Own the product strategy and roadmap for the end-to-end student experience from onboarding to graduation.
• Challenge assumptions about learning and improve completion, certification pass rates, and job outcomes.
• Partner with Student Experience team to decide what to solve with product, process, or people.
• Talk to students regularly through interviews, usability sessions, and feedback loops to shape the product.
• Run a disciplined experimentation program with A/B tests and rapid prototypes.
• Collaborate with designers and engineers to ship mobile-friendly experiences for learners.
• Use AI and automation to deliver personal support at scale for coaches/instructors.
• Define and track metrics on engagement, retention, completion, satisfaction, and job placement.
