Job summary

Stepful, a NYC-based workforce platform, is seeking a Senior Product Manager for the Student Experience to own the end-to-end journey from onboarding to graduation. You will work with student success teams, instructors, and engineers to deliver outcomes and scale effective experiences for adult learners.

In this hybrid role, you will lead experimentation, leverage data, and use AI to personalize support for learners while partnering with marketing, design, and data teams.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of product management experience, with a strong track record building consumer-facing products.
• Proven success moving engagement, retention, or conversion metrics for a large user base.
• Strong fundamentals: discovery, hypothesis-driven experimentation, prioritization, roadmap ownership, and documentation.
• Deep obsession with users and ability to turn qualitative insights and messy data into clear product decisions.
• Comfort writing SQL to generate insights.
• Exceptional stakeholder management with operators, instructors, execs, and technical teams.
• Ability to articulate tradeoffs, make decisions with imperfect information, and drive 80/20 focus.

Responsibilities

• Own the product strategy and roadmap for the end-to-end student experience for both D2C and B2B2C.
• Challenge assumptions and bring evidence-backed ideas to improve completion, pass rates, and job outcomes.
• Collaborate with Student Experience team to identify where to solve with product, process, or people.
• Interview students regularly to shape development with real needs.
• Run experiments with A/B testing and rapid prototyping to scale what works.
• Partner with designers and engineers to ship intuitive, mobile-friendly experiences.
• Leverage AI and automation to deliver personalized support at scale.
• Define and track metrics for engagement, retention, completion, NPS, and job placement.
