About The Opportunity

Avenue Code is looking for a Product Manager to work with one of our biggest clients in the Retail Industry.

Product Management is responsible for overseeing the lifecycle of IT products, from inception to retirement, that are delivered to our customers, business associates, and consumers. This role manages the relationship between business functions and IT to deliver product and user experience solutions that meet business needs.

Responsibilities
  • Lead projects of diverse scope and complexity.
  • Serve as a liaison between the business community and the IT organization to provide product and user experience solutions that meet business needs.
  • Develop high-level business requirements and translate them into functional specifications for the IT organization, managing changes throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Prepare business requirements, functional specifications, process documentation, and recommendations.
  • Apply a strong understanding of industry practices, product management methodologies, and company policies and procedures.
  • Resolve a wide range of issues using innovative and practical approaches.
  • Demonstrate strong knowledge of product management best practices, functional design, and application delivery methodologies.
  • Understand and apply basic project management methodologies.
  • Maintain a strong customer focus and commitment to delivering high-quality solutions.
  • Demonstrate excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Analyze complex business problems by evaluating relevant data and identifying key factors.
  • Exercise sound judgment in selecting methods and techniques to obtain effective solutions.
  • Build relationships and collaborate with senior internal and external stakeholders.
  • Make decisions that support project schedules and functional goals.

  • Support store systems, Point-of-Sale (POS) platforms, and other retail technology solutions, partnering with business and technical teams to drive enhancements and resolve product-related issues.
Required Qualifications
  • Proven experience as a Product Manager delivering enterprise technology solutions.
  • Experience supporting store systems, Point-of-Sale (POS), or retail technology platforms.
  • Strong experience gathering business requirements and translating them into technical specifications.
  • Solid understanding of product management best practices and software delivery methodologies.
  • Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
