About The Opportunity

Avenue Code is looking for a Product Manager to work with one of our biggest clients in the Retail Industry. This role is responsible for driving the vision, roadmap, and execution of complex digital products and interactive customer experiences. The Product Manager will partner closely with engineering, design, and business stakeholders to translate product vision into clear requirements, deliver high-quality experiences, and ensure successful product releases. This is a hands‑on, execution-focused role ideal for someone who thrives in fast‑paced environments, can manage multiple workstreams, and is comfortable working closely with highly technical teams.

Location: San Jose, CA – On-site 4 days per week.

Responsibilities
  • Own the product lifecycle from vision and roadmap definition through execution and release.
  • Translate high-level product vision into clear, actionable multi-quarter roadmaps aligned with business and user needs.
  • Communicate roadmap priorities, business value, tradeoffs, and product progress to senior leadership and cross‑functional stakeholders.
  • Define and track product success metrics, including adoption, engagement, performance, and conversion impact.
  • Write clear, actionable user stories with detailed acceptance criteria, edge cases, performance considerations, and technical constraints.
  • Break down complex product experiences into incremental, shippable features and releases.
  • Partner closely with engineering teams to clarify requirements, evaluate technical tradeoffs, and reduce ambiguity and rework.
  • Create high‑level user flows, including entry points, decision points, feedback loops, and error or edge‑state handling.
  • Collaborate closely with UX and design teams to deliver intuitive, high‑quality interactive experiences.
  • Manage multiple product initiatives and workstreams simultaneously in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Partner with engineering teams working on interactive and visualization technologies, including WebGL‑based experiences.
  • Evaluate visualization experiences with consideration for usability, performance, fidelity, speed, camera controls, lighting, materials, and configuration logic.
  • Coordinate product releases, including rollout planning, release notes, stakeholder enablement materials, and product demonstrations.
  • Ensure internal stakeholders understand what is being delivered, why it matters, and how product success will be measured.
  • Identify opportunities to leverage AI and emerging technologies to improve customer experiences, simplify decision‑making, and reduce cognitive load.
  • Collaborate with engineering and design teams to explore practical AI‑powered product experiences.
Required Qualifications
  • Approximately 5 years of Product Management experience, ideally owning complex digital or interactive products.
  • Proven experience owning product roadmaps and driving products from vision through execution and release.
  • Strong experience writing user stories, acceptance criteria, functional requirements, and product documentation.
  • Demonstrated ability to break complex experiences into incremental, deliverable product features.
  • Strong UX and user‑flow thinking, with the ability to define high‑level interaction flows independently.
  • Experience partnering closely with engineering‑heavy teams and navigating technical constraints and tradeoffs.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, including experience presenting roadmaps and product progress to senior leadership.
  • Experience coordinating product releases and creating release communications, enablement materials, or demonstrations.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience defining and tracking product success metrics.
  • Ability to manage multiple initiatives and priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Experience with 3D visualization, interactive visual tools, 3D configurators, AR/VR, CAD‑adjacent products, or similar technologies.
  • Working understanding of 3D visualization concepts such as performance, fidelity, camera controls, lighting, materials, and configuration logic.
  • Practical interest in AI and its application to customer‑facing product experiences.
Nice To Have Skills
  • Experience with WebGL, Babylon.js, or similar visualization technologies.
  • Experience building products within eCommerce, retail, or digital merchandising environments.
  • Experience with products where UX quality directly impacts customer engagement or conversion.
  • Exposure to AI‑powered, agentic, or guided digital experiences.
