Job summary

Avenue Code in Oakland, CA is seeking a seasoned IT Product Analyst to own and drive product strategy for critical utility-related applications. The role emphasizes partnership with stakeholders, vendors, and regulatory-aware teams to shape roadmaps and deliver measurable business impact.

Ideal candidates will have a minimum of 8 years of technical experience, 3+ years in product ownership or management, and strong background in product design, build, and compliance environments.

Responsibilities

• Develop the strategic vision for assigned products and services in collaboration with peers and stakeholders in the Electric Transmission organization.
• Serve as Product Owner and Process Analyst for a key solution supporting Large Load and Electric Transmission Generation programs.
• Understand industry trends, product positioning, benefits, and target user groups, both internal and external.
• Collaborate with vendors, CAISO, and internal/external stakeholders to influence future product capabilities and roadmaps.
• Research emerging technologies and market trends; provide recommendations aligned with company goals and values.
• Evaluate products and services to ensure they meet business and technical requirements.

Education

IT Product Analysis

• Partner with peers and stakeholders in the Electric Transmission organization to develop the strategic vision for assigned products and services

Experience

Minimum Qualifications

• 8+ years of relevant technical experience
• Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience supporting or managing the assigned products and/or services
• Demonstrated in-depth technical expertise in assigned technology areas
• Demonstrated experience in product design, build, test
• Demonstrated experience working in regulatory or compliance environment
• Demonstrated experience in product/process innovation to reduce cycle time

Preferred Qualifications

• 10+ years of relevant technical experience
• Recognized expertise within the IT industry related to assigned products or services
• Experience working within a utility, energy, communication, high tech, or aerospace company environment
• Experience leading product teams
