With over 375 million tracks from 40 million artists, the future of music is SoundCloud.

SoundCloud is looking for a qualified Senior Product Manager to join our Payments product team. This team is responsible for helping fans & artists purchase and enjoy SoundCloud’s premium subscriptions across iOS, Android, and Web. Driving innovation in the Payments & Subscription industry is critical to our strategic focus as a company. This individual will be directly responsible for developing & executing against that strategy as we look to strengthen existing business models, and find product market fit for new ones.

As a Senior Product Manager on the Payments team, you will play a pivotal role in accelerating the trajectory of SoundCloud’s global business by working across teams in Berlin, London, New York, and Los Angeles to execute and drive impact. This role requires excellent problem solving intuition, self-motivation to identify and build empathy for user needs, concise & simple communication across both technical and leadership stakeholders, and a principled approach to execution in pursuit of business impact.

More than anything - you’re passionate about leveraging your expertise in the payments industry to better serve the needs of your users, and take pride in building great products which help to make their lives easier.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify opportunities to grow SoundCloud’s subscription businesses through an understanding of user needs, business needs, and technical feasibility.
  • Lead adoption of payments industry best practices to drive innovation and facilitate a best-in-class global business including support across platforms, stores, currencies, and local payment methods.
  • Build and maintain a consistent payment, purchase, and subscription experience across mobile & web experiences.
  • Drive end-to-end execution of projects from concept through prioritization, design, build, launch, experimentation, and iteration.
  • Work closely with the engineering, design, data, research, marketing, and business teams to ensure requirements are well-defined, clear, and aligned with strategic goals.
  • Attend and actively contribute to the cross-functional team ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and backlog refinement sessions.
  • Be the go-to person for day-to-day management of features and capabilities within the payments platform, addressing team inquiries and managing day-to-day operations.
  • Act as a liaison, communicate outcomes, and manage tradeoffs amongst multiple feature teams and stakeholders.

Experience and Background:

  • Bachelor's degree or work experience in a relevant field with 5+ years of product management experience, with a consistent track record of launches and quantifiable wins.
  • Significant industry expertise working with payments, subscriptions, and e-commerce platforms.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills; ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions, recommendations, and drive actions.
  • Experience working closely with engineers, designers, and data scientists.
  • Familiarity with core mobile, web, and backend applications.
  • Thorough, detail-oriented, and organized. Able to lead multiple projects in parallel.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication, as well as a high level of comfort leading workshops and presentations with a diverse group of stakeholders and teams.

The salary range for this role is $150,000 - 165,000 annually. The final salary offered will be determined based on relative experience, skills, internal equity, and location.

About us:
  • We are a multinational company with offices in the US (New York and Los Angeles), Germany (Berlin), and the UK (London).

  • We believe a strong team is made by investing in employees through mentorship, workshops and enrichment opportunities.
Benefits:
  • Comprehensive health benefits including medical, dental, and vision plans, as well as mental health resources.
  • Robust 401k program.
  • Employee Stock Ownership Plan.
  • Generous professional development allowance.
  • Flexible vacation and public holiday policy where you can take up to 35 days of PTO annually.
  • 16 paid weeks for all parents (birthing and non-birthing), regardless of gender, to welcome newborns, adopted and foster children.
  • Various snacks, goodies, and 2 free lunches weekly when at the office.
