Job summary

New York Technology Partners is seeking an experienced Product Manager to lead the design, build, and growth of a digital marketplace. You will collaborate with business, engineering, UX, architecture, and operations to translate marketplace strategy into scalable product capabilities.

You will own the product roadmap, conduct discovery, and turn requirements into epics, user stories, and a prioritized backlog while driving Mirakl implementations or similar solutions.

Qualifications

• 6–7 years in product management, product ownership, business analysis, or digital product delivery with hands-on ownership.
• Experience delivering eCommerce or marketplace products and understanding marketplace models.
• Strong knowledge of seller ecosystems, catalog, offers, inventory, and fulfillment workflows.
• Experience creating roadmaps, requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and backlogs.
• Hands-on API experience and integration-heavy commerce ecosystems.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum environments and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

Job description

We're seeking an experienced Product Manager to lead the design, build, and growth of our digital marketplace. You'll work with business, engineering, UX, architecture, operations, and third-party partners to turn marketplace strategy into scalable product capabilities.

The right person brings solid eCommerce or marketplace product experience, including seller onboarding, catalog management, offers, orders, marketplace operations, integrations, and customer experience. Hands-on experience with Mirakl is a strong plus.

What You'll Do

• Own the marketplace product roadmap and keep priorities aligned with business goals and customer needs.
• Lead product discovery and turn business requirements into capabilities, epics, user stories, acceptance criteria, and a prioritized backlog.
• Work with business and technology teams to build marketplace capabilities across:
• Product and catalog onboarding
• Product taxonomy and attributes
• Offer management, pricing, and inventory
• Order management and fulfillment
• Seller performance and marketplace operations
• Returns, cancellations, refunds, and customer experience
• Drive implementation on the Mirakl Marketplace Platform or a comparable solution.
• Partner with engineering and architecture on integrations between the marketplace and the eCommerce storefront, PIM, OMS, ERP, payments, fulfillment, and other enterprise systems.
• Work with UX/design to create seamless journeys for customers, sellers, and marketplace operators.
• Run backlog refinement, sprint planning, demos, UAT, release readiness, and launch activities.
• Define product KPIs and use customer, seller, and operational data to find opportunities to improve.
• Surface dependencies, risks, and trade-offs, and communicate product decisions clearly to business and technology stakeholders.
• Guide the shift from initial implementation to ongoing optimization and scale.

What You Bring

• 6-7 years in product management, product ownership, business analysis, or digital product delivery, with substantial hands-on product ownership.
• A track record delivering eCommerce, marketplace, retail, or digital commerce products.
• A solid grasp of marketplace business models and first-party vs. third-party seller ecosystems.
• Hands-on experience building roadmaps, requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and backlogs.
• Strong understanding of catalog, seller, offer, inventory, order, and fulfillment workflows.
• Experience with APIs and integration-heavy commerce ecosystems.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Strong stakeholder management across business, engineering, architecture, UX, and operations.
• Sharp analytical and problem-solving skills, with a customer-first mindset.

Nice to Have

• Experience with the Mirakl Marketplace Platform, including operator and seller workflows.
• Familiarity with Mirakl seller onboarding and catalog processes such as catalog mapping, categorization, validation, and seller management.
• Understanding of marketplace integrations using REST APIs, webhooks, and GraphQL (e.g., Mirakl's Front, Operator, and Seller APIs).
• Experience integrating marketplaces with platforms like SAP Commerce, Salesforce Commerce, Adobe Commerce/Magento, or Shopify.
• Experience taking a marketplace from concept and discovery through MVP, go-live, and post-launch optimization.
• B2B and/or B2C marketplace experience.
• Experience onboarding and operationalizing sellers, not just building the platform but launching it.
