Job summary

Oportun is seeking a Senior Product Manager for Lending Originations to lead strategy and development of capabilities that improve the applicant experience, increase new-loan conversion, and support members' financial health. This senior IC role solves complex problems and delivers measurable outcomes.

You will define a multi-year roadmap and lead cross-functional teams across Engineering, Design, Data, Risk, Fraud, Marketing, Operations, Legal and Compliance to launch best-in-class lending

Qualifications

• 7+ years of core product management experience in high-growth environments.
• Demonstrated experience leading complex, high-impact product initiatives from strategy through execution and scale.
• Strong track record of launching and iterating on customer-facing products with measurable outcomes.
• Experience in financial services, FinTech, lending, or regulated industries preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own the product strategy and multi-quarter roadmap for Lending Originations journeys or capabilities.
• Establish objectives, key results, and performance metrics aligned with priorities.
• Identify opportunities to improve application completion, approval, funding, and conversion.
• Lead cross-functional teams and deliver scalable lending experiences.
• Drive products from discovery through launch, measurement, and scale.
• Balance near-term delivery with platform scalability and maintainability.
