Job summary

Blackstone’s BXTI unit is hiring a Product Manager for Credit & Insurance Technology, shaping the product vision for portfolio accounting data platforms and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable solutions.

The role emphasizes strong leadership, hands-on Agile delivery, and close partnership with engineers and business partners to drive concepts to execution at enterprise scale.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience with financial services technology, investment or portfolio accounting systems, or enterprise data platforms.
• BS/BA in Finance, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
• Demonstrated success as a Product Manager delivering complex finance technology or data warehouse solutions at enterprise scale.
• Strong understanding of portfolio accounting, credit instruments, and lifecycle events; experience with bank debt is highly preferred.
• Experience/knowledge of Geneva, or comparable portfolio accounting systems is a strong plus.
• Proficiency with SQL for data validation, analysis, and exploration.
• Familiarity with reporting and analytics tools such as Sigma, Tableau, or Power BI.
• Deep expertise in Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) with hands-on sprint management and backlog ownership.
• Proficiency in Jira and Confluence for project tracking and documentation.
• Strong understanding of data engineering concepts, including ETL workflows, data modeling, warehousing, and reporting platforms.
• Excellent problem solving, attention to detail, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Shape and maintain the product vision, roadmap, and strategy for the firm’s portfolio accounting data warehouse and related data platforms.
• Collaborate with Accounting, Operations, Risk, Front Office, and Technology to align requirements with product strategy.
• Utilize Jira and Confluence to manage workflows and documentation across teams.
• Write, refine, and review user stories, acceptance criteria, and specifications for development and data engineering teams.
• Oversee governance, milestones, dependencies, and risk mitigation to ensure on-time delivery.
• Drive automation and data quality improvements across Finance and Operations processes.
• Lead change management, training, and stakeholder engagement for new systems and processes.
• Develop business cases, communicate updates, and present status to leadership and steering committees.
• Continuously evaluate emerging technologies and opportunities for platform modernization.
